Econans grows with new banking cooperation

Rising electricity prices have led to increased housing costs for many Swedes. In order to keep running costs low and reduce the climate impact, the interest in energy efficiency in housing has increased. But few people know where to start or what is best for their particular home.

Econans has now adapted it's digital platform so that Danske Bank’s private customers can be offered tailored proposals for energy efficiency improvements.

After a digital energy simulation, energy-saving measures that best suit the individual residence are identified. Econans provides contact details for contracted companies that can carry out the work and Danske Bank offers financing. The system makes it easy for Danske Bank's customers to get started.

David Klamer, co-founder and CEO at Econans:

"We are super excited to be able to help such a committed and personal bank as Danske Bank, there are genuine sustainability values in the bank, both concerning climate and social sustainability that we both share."

Anneli Adler, Head of Personal Customers at Danske Bank Sweden:

"Energy and electricity costs are a large part of the household budget. We want to help our customers with financial advice and relevant digital services. Our hope is that more customers will see the possibilities of investing in energy-saving measures for their accommodation. It can both reduce running household costs and at the same time increase the value of the home. A more efficient use of energy is a prerequisite for Sweden to achieve the environmental goals and create a sustainable energy system. The real estate sector accounts for almost 40 percent of energy use in Europe.”
